"The art of memorization by means of creating artificial associations that facilitate the storage of information and increases the volume of memory"
Examples:
1. TO TELL A STORY
This technique is very useful to remember specific ideas, situations, concepts etc. It consists of creating a story by using a previous list of concepts or ideas you want to remember. The purpose is to associate every given word in such a way that you can construct a coherent story an remember every single concept or sentence. The first option the teller has is to tell the story by beggining with the first concept, then the second and so on to the last one, and in a reversed way, that is to say by using the last concept and then the penultimate and so on to end the story with the first concept used.
2. LINKING
It is an strategy to associate words with funny images. To create silly images can help the speecher to remember words or important information.
After 3 or 4 reviews, the ¨silly¨images disappear and the memorised material becomes knowledge.
3. PEGS
With this technique it is necessary the previous creation of images representing the order of the ideas with a stablished number. It is also necessary to create a funny, strong or impacting image between your previuos image and the new one. For our brain it is easier to remember representations which containt movements, smells and shining colors or meaningful images.
